Avalanche Skill Training Level 1 - Session 1

Girls Do Ski has partnered up with our friends at Revelstoke Mountain Resort to run our first ever certified Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 Course!

This course is a must for anyone who plans to head out into the backcountry for winter recreation. Please note, while you do not need any backcountry experience to register, an advanced/expert level of skiing is recommended.

Throughout this two day course you will be equipped with the skills to recognize, manage, avoid and travel within avalanche terrain. You will be introduced to critical backcountry equipment and coached through avalanche rescue procedures. Next, you’ll be given opportunities to apply your new rescue skill-set through realistic scenarios. This is a two day AST1 course with both classroom and field components. Register to ensure your backcountry safety and preparedness this winter. You’ll even receive an official AST1 certification for your efforts.
